For over 100 years, Baker Demonstration School has been a cornerstone of educational innovation in Chicago’s North Shore. Today, we invite you to partner with us for our annual Baker 5K—an event that embodies our commitment to whole-child development and physical wellness. The Baker 5K is the culmination of our week long “Sneaker Week” where our student community participates in a variety of different athletic endeavors such as fencing, lacrosse and martial arts. 

At Baker, movement isn’t just an afterthought—it’s fundamental to our educational philosophy. Our students engage in physical activity every day through swimming, PE, and dance, developing resilience, teamwork, and joy in movement that enhances their academic journey.

On Friday, May 23rd, our campus and surrounding Wilmette neighborhood will come alive as families, friends, and community members gather to cheer on over 300 participants—students, families and faculty—in this cherished tradition. Our students train throughout the year, building endurance and determination that mirrors the persistence we cultivate in all aspects of their education.

We encouraged our community partners and local businesses to support our runners through sponsorships of the 5K!

Our school has a vast and growing network of loyal families who would enjoy learning about your company or organization through your sponsorship.

Sponsorship levels range from $800to $3,000 and offer great opportunities for exposure to our families.
