At Baker, we know a child’s preschool and kindergarten years are a wonderfully formative stage in which our teachers invite children to enjoy the freedom of exploration, and introduce them to the idea of learning by doing. Based on the concept of inquiry through play, our preschoolers and kindergarteners begin to experience what will become the foundation of meaningful learning. We know that play is more than fun, it’s the language of childhood.

Learn more about Baker and our commitment to play at our Preschool and Kindergarten Admission Play Dates on our Early Childhood playground, located outside the preschool classrooms. Join us for exploration and play! Tour our campus following the playdate.

The Cardboard Challenge is an all-school, all-ages event that brings the Baker community together for an afternoon of hands-on fun and creativity. For the Cardboard Challenge, we invite families to use their imagination to create something cool using only cardboard, duct tape and art supplies. Cardboard masterpieces have ranged from the S.S. Titanic and a canoe to a house complete with a doorbell, lights and a window box.
