The Baker Benefit is one of my favorite nights of the year, not only because it is a great party, but because it is a powerful reminder that all of us — parents, teachers, alumni, and friends of Baker — share a core belief in this school and what makes it a unique and special place.
Friday night, more than 200 of us came together to demonstrate that belief, raising more than $140,000 in gross revenue to help fund an upcoming campus renovation that will overhaul our outdoor spaces to extend Baker teaching and learning beyond the classroom walls. Thank you for supporting our students and teachers!
Special thanks to our industrious, creative, and boundlessly energetic event chairs: Jena Karcazes, Lisa Spiegler, and Lisa Winn. It was a fantastic evening, from the fabulous Smylie Brothers food and drink to the exciting live and silent auctions to the presentation by the architects overseeing our renovation project, and it couldn’t have happened without their volunteer efforts.
We also are hugely grateful to our seven event hosts, the BPO Benefit Committee, and Baker’s Board of Directors, whose support of this event and the mission of our school is remarkable and much appreciated.
Thank you, indeed, to all the parents, alumni, alumni parents, faculty, staff, and friends who joined us last weekend, partnering with us to ensure that our school continues to thrive. Your support of our students and faculty means the world to me and to all of us here at Baker.
