Kerah Sandler

5th Grade Teacher

Kerah has been a progressive classroom educator since graduating from Northwestern University in 1993 with a BA in History and Certificate in Jewish Studies. She received her MAT in Elementary Education from National-Louis University and serves on NLU’s Teacher Preparation Advisory Board. She was thrilled to join the Baker Faculty in 2009 and serves on the Equity Action Team and Storytelling Committees. Kerah is excited to take students to Springfield and support INT entrepreneurs during Baker Business School this year. She strives to empower students as activists and creative problem-solvers and center joy, compassion, well-being, curiosity, and justice in the classroom. Kerah is the proud mom of Benicio, a Baker “lifer,” ETHS grad, and senior at Tufts University. When not at Baker, you can find her Zumba-ing at the McGaw YMCA!
