Erin Fentanes Steiner
Director of Auxiliary Programming
Hi, I’m Erin, and I’ve been part of the Baker team since 2021! I bring over 12 years of experience working with kids in youth programming, with a special focus on athletics and aquatics. Whether I’m leading games, reading stories, getting messy with art or teaching swim lessons I love creating fun, inclusive spaces where kids can play, grow, and build confidence.
I earned my degree in Anthropology from Loyola University Chicago—I’ve always been fascinated by people and communities, which fits right in with what I do every day at Baker. One of my favorite things about working here is the close-knit community and the amazing relationships I get to build with both kids and families.
And a fun fact about me? In 2017, I hiked for five days through the Andes Mountains on the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu! I’m always up for an adventure—especially the kind that starts with a high-five and ends with a cannonball into the pool.
