Christy Miller
Student Services Coordinator & Middle School Learning Specialist
I attended the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus for my undergraduate studies. There I obtained my Bachelor of General Studies and my Secondary Teaching credentials in Language Arts and Social Studies. I also have a Masters in Special Education from Loyola University and a Masters in Education Leadership from American College of Education. I have taught primarily middle school language arts, social studies and special education. I have worked specifically in special education for the last 19 years. During that time I was a special education teacher for 4 years in a self contained setting, the principal of a special education therapeutic day school for 10 years and then oversaw two K- 12 special education therapeutic day schools as the Head of Schools for the last 5 years.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with loved ones and playing golf.
I am excited to be apart of the Baker school community where there is an emphasis on personalized learning, a nurturing of student interests, inclusivity, collaboration and specialized support in the learning environment to ensure that students have the opportunity to thrive.
