Lauren has been an educator since 2006 when she received her Master of Arts in Teaching from National-Louis University. She has been a Special Educator for primary and intermediate students in a variety of public school settings. She began her teaching journey by instructing a Cross Categorical classroom for children with Learning Disabilities and then taught a class for children with a variety of academic and social/emotional needs. She moved onto becoming a Resource Teacher for students in grades one through five for six years prior to arriving at Baker. Lauren appreciates being part of a school that demonstrates such a clear love of learning and progressive practices.
