Emma Brayndick has been teaching at Baker since 2014. She spent four years as an associate in JK and Pre-K classrooms and then student taught in Kindergarten. In 2018 she became a lead teacher in Kindergarten after completing her Masters in Early Childhood Education at NLU. Prior to Baker, Emma worked as a program assistant for four years at the Boys and Girls Club of Badger Elementary School in Appleton, Wisconsin. She worked primarily with Kindergarten through third graders. There she taught power hour, which was partially a literacy enrichment program, as well as dance and art clubs. A Baker Allumna herself, Emma is very interested in visual art, drama, and dance, and loves the possibilities for creativity in the classroom allowed by the progressive model. She is active in arts communities outside of school as well as an ensemble member of On The Spot Theatre Company and artistic director of Dancing on the Spot, an improvisational dance company.
