The learning doesn’t stop at the end of the school day — or the end of school year!
Baker offers a variety of programming for students ages 12 months through age three. Offerings and courses vary throughout the year so keep checking our toddler programming page for the latest information.
Baker offers extended day programming for all students before and after school. PLĀ (Progressive Learning Activities) provides intellectually stimulating learning experiences for students on campus before and after the regular school day.
PLĀ is a fee-based program available to all registered students from dismissal to 6PM. PLĀ is also available on Institute, Records, and Conference days. Parents may register online each semester at PLĀ Registration.
Swim lessons, improv, kayaking, math club, chess, rugby, drone building, and many more enriching learning opportunities fill the after school hours at Baker for students in Pre-K through grade 8. Offered in four 6 or 8-week sessions throughout the academic year, students can take up to five after school classes during the school week!
Baker’s Summer Discovery is designed to spark the imagination, engage the intellect, and, at the same time, offer an equally important dose of fun and physical activity. Exciting, hands-on, progressive educational activities taught by experienced teachers, a wide variety of games and play, and small camp groups led by fun and caring counselors are the hallmarks of Baker Summer Discovery. Our camp program offers a unique summer of growth, learning, and fun for the whole child. Details about 2017 offerings will be available in the coming months!
Students in grades four through eight may participate in school-sponsored sports teams. Teams include soccer and flag football in the fall, basketball in the winter, and track and field in the spring. Teams practice before and after school depending on the sport and season, and compete against peer schools. Participation is included in the cost of tuition.
