On behalf of the Baker Parent Organization and event co-chairs Jena Karcazes, Lisa Spiegler, and Lisa Winn, I am excited to welcome all parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends to join us at the Baker Benefit on Friday, February 26. This annual event promises to be a fun celebration of Baker and our incredible community, and it is an event I look forward to each year.
Through your support of the 2016 Baker Benefit, we will be one step closer to extending progressive learning beyond the classroom and into a newly renovated outdoor space. Our progressive principles have shone brightly in our classrooms for nearly 100 years. Now we look forward to creating dynamic, multi-faceted, outdoor learning and play areas so our students can experience the same progressive education in their outdoor environment.
Highlights of this year’s Benefit include an amazing live and silent auction and excellent (and unlimited) food and drinks. New this year, we are introducing an Event Host opportunity at the $2,500 level. Event Hosts will receive six event tickets for both the general event and a very special pre-event cocktail reception featuring the Lakota Group, the firm overseeing our outdoor renovation. Architects from the firm will unveil the designs for our project – an exclusive preview of the future of Baker!
As we come together in support of the school we all care about so deeply, I encourage you to help us reach our fundraising goal of more than $100,000 for our school. By attending this very important event, you will not only provide critical funds for our school but also join together to celebrate this special community!
