What year did you start working at Baker?
I started working at Baker in 2007 as an associate teacher in Pre-K and as a substitute for Early Childhood classrooms. I moved to Texas in 2015 to pursue my career as a lead teacher. Upon my transition back to Evanston in 2017, I rejoined the Baker community as an Associate Teacher. In 2018, I became the Family & Admissions Coordinator.
Where did you earn your degree(s)?
I graduated from Evanston Township High School and took courses at Oakton Community College in in Early Childhood Education. I plan on going back to school once my son, Nels, is older.
What is your favorite thing about working at Baker?
I love the community and relationships you form. Everyone is so kind and considerate. I also love seeing the families and kids everyday, watching them grow and seeing how their skills develop from their early years in PK all the way through 8th grade.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I love camping, kayaking, gardening, swimming and pretty much anything outdoors.
