Adapting to a Post-Pandemic World
Our mission is to teach students how to learn and adapt so they can thrive, no matter what the future brings. Today, Baker itself is leading by example. We have adapted our curriculum to enable robust e-learning opportunities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and modern educational needs.
We are committed to providing equitable access to the benefits of a Baker education to all our families, including those who are immunocompromised, or for whom exposure to the novel coronavirus would put them or an extended family member at high risk of serious health complications.
Furthermore, the pandemic has permanently altered the way educators around the world view access to education. There is now no doubt that we need to be prepared to enable physically-distanced education through technology, and Baker is working to lead the way in progressive e-learning.
How E-Learning Works
Currently, we are utilizing Google Classroom to deliver assignments. Assignments are aligned with learning goals and are developmentally appropriate for students to complete independently.
E-learning is continuing to evolve to meet the needs of students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Check back here for updates.
Our Commitment to You
Baker remains committed to providing a Progressive Education in an e-learning space. While this looks different online, our teachers are daily innovating, creating child-centered experiential learning opportunities, and adapting instruction to the needs of each child just as they do in the classroom.
