Early Childhood Program
In early childhood (Toddler through 1st Grade), the program is based on the premise that children construct knowledge through discovery in free play as well as though social interactions with peers and adults. Children learn by having meaningful experiences and making relevant connections to the world around them. Within this framework, the content areas are addressed using an integrated approach. Language and literacy, mathematical and scientific thinking, social studies and the arts are explored as a way of stretching students' creative thinking. We strive to address individual needs, respect learning style differences, and acknowledge the role of a child's family in the student's learning. The following are components of our curriculum.
Toddler Program (Age Two)
Our Early Childhood Program emphasizes hands-on, active, and play-based learning. Our new toddler program follows the same philosophy for our youngest learners. Small class sizes and individual attention from a master instructor and associate teacher will allow your little one to Learn with Wonder.
Preschool Program (Ages Three and Four)
Our Preschool Program has been in existence for over 87 years. This program has been offered only as a five-day curriculum. Starting in 2006, our curriculum will be offered as a two-day, three-day and five-day program. The preschool classes serve as a rich environment for your three and four year olds at the right increment to meet their social, emotional, academic, and developmental needs. Space is limited and spots are starting to fill. Morning and afternoon classes are offered.
