- Parent volunteers appointed as officers of the BPO serve one-year terms, with the option to continue if re-appointed.
- Potential parent volunteers for these positions are solicited in April. The five current BPO officers create a slate.
- The proposed slate will be presented at the May meeting and nominees will speak about their intention to serve; at that meeting, a Parent Input Form will be provided for feedback to be reviewed the executive committee. This is to promote inclusion of the entire parent body, the constituency that the BPO serves.
- After reviewing any concerns or comments, the BPO executive committee will approve the slate and appoint officers for the upcoming year. The new officers will be present at the final meeting of the school year (May 30) and officially take office on August 1st.
