Capital Investment
Since the independence of Baker Demonstration School in 2005, there has been an incredible amount of investment in the campus. The $3.5 million capital campaign enabled not only the purchase of the school, but also countless renovations and upgrades which have transformed the facilities that our students enjoy every day. Still, the need remains for continued investment and improvement, and opportunities are available for naming recognition throughout the campus.
To learn more about the current needs of our school, or how you can name a classroom, our library or other public spaces, please contact Addie Goodman, Director of Advancement.
Tuition Assistance
We believe that a Baker education is a truly special opportunity that should be available to as many children as possible. We also believe that a diverse student body enriches the school environment for all.
We are a community that cares, responds and provides for those who are already part of our Baker family, as well as those joining us for the first time. As a result, this year, our school commitment coupled with designated gifts to our Tuition Assistance Fund enabled a 30% increase in available need-based tuition assistance.
You can support this important initiative either by designating a gift to the Tuition Assistance Fund or by endowing a permanent scholarship. With an endowed scholarship, you can help to permanently increase the number and quantity of tuition assistance awards. Named awards begin at $25,000. A gift of $250,000 funds a full scholarship for one child's kindergarten through eighth grade education.
Teaching and Learning
Excellence in teaching. For Baker, that’s where it all started. It’s the cornerstone of our philosophy to this day.
You can support Baker’s central focus of filling our classrooms with master teachers at every grade level and in every discipline. A gift to endow a faculty position can secure permanent resources for an area that interests you. Support for curriculum and professional development can ensure that our faculty do their very best work for Baker and its students.
Please contact Addie Goodman, Director of Advancement, to discuss these and other opportunities.
