Learning is for Grown-Ups, too.
Baker is committed to engaging adults in learning, too, especially when it comes to topics that surround, infuse and guide our faculty and staff every day. The subjects chosen for this year’s Speaker Series and Roundtable Discussions have “bubbled” to the surface in many ways. We look forward to exploring them together.
Clara Belle Baker Speaker Series
Baker Demonstration School is pleased to announce the First Annual Clara Belle Baker Speaker Series: Topics, Tensions & Explorations in Progressive Pedagogy. Throughout the year, we will hear from guests such as Rick Ackerly, Bena Kallick and George Wood about their explorations and findings in education, and how approach and pedagogy is both changing and staying the same in today’s world.
The speaker series is open to the community and free of charge. All sessions will meet from 7:00 – 8:30 pm with conversation and a reception with the speaker following in the Baker Library. For a complete schedule of presenters and topics, click here; for biographies of all six presenters, click here. To reserve your place, please RSVP to speakers@bakerdemschool.org.
