Open Houses

Please join Baker Demonstration School for any of our Family Open Houses. These events are open to the whole family and offer an opportunity for both you and your child to meet our faculty, tour the campus, and begin to experience the unique learning environment of Baker. We welcome your RSVP.

• Fall Family Open House, Saturday, November 5, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
• Toddler Program – Kindergarten Information Night, Thursday, January 19, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Campus Tours

We at Baker Demonstration School invite you to join Hilary Holder, our Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, for a Thursday Tour between October 1 and April 30. Thursday Tours will begin at 9:00 am and an RSVP is requested. If the Thursday Tour does not work with your schedule, please e-mail admissions@bakerdemschool.org with the dates and times you are available to visit and which grades you are interested in learning more about. We will be back in touch to confirm your tour date and time.

• Toddler Program:  8:45 am – 11:00 am
• Pre-Kindergarten (3  and 4 years old) :  8:30 am – 11:15 am
• Kindergarten dismisses at 2:00 pm
• Grades 1 – 8 dismiss at 3:15 pm

Directions

Baker Demonstration School is located at 201 Sheridan Road in Wilmette, IL 60091 on the border of Evanston and Wilmette. We are located between NorthShore University HealthSystem’s Evanston Hospital and the Bahá'í Temple. You can access the front entrance of the school from Maple Avenue.

From Chicago: Take Lake Shore Drive north to Sheridan Road; follow Sheridan Road through Evanston (past Northwestern University). After you’ve entered Wilmette, you will come to a stoplight where Ridge Avenue (on the left), Isabelle Street (straight ahead), and Sheridan Road (on the right) meet. Turn right to continue on Sheridan Road. Make a left on Maple Avenue and proceed approximately 100 feet; the entrance will be on your left.

From the North: Take Sheridan Road south to Maple Avenue. Make a right on Maple Avenue and proceed approximately 100 feet; the entrance will be on your left.

CTA: The last stop on the Chicago Transit Authority's Purple Line train is the Linden Avenue station in Wilmette. After exiting the station, turn right (east) on Linden Avenue, a second right on Third Street, then a left on Maple Avenue, and walk two blocks to the school. The entrance will be on your right.
