Baker Demonstration School is a member of the Lake Michigan Association of Independent Schools (LMAIS) and has Full Recognition status from the Illinois State Board of Education. As of July 2006, the school is a provisional member of the Independent Schools Association of Central States (ISACS) and the process for full accreditation is underway. Additionally, the Young 2's and Young 3's programs are certified by the Department of Children and Family Services. Beyond these creditations, Baker Demonstration School has strong academic affiliations with colleges and universities such as National-Louis University's National College of Education, Chicago Professional School of Psychoogy, Columbia College, Northeastern Illinois University, and Northwestern University.
